The Senior Procurement Specialist supports the Global Advertising Procurement team on 3 main areas:

(1) Lead the implementation of a Marketing Procurement software across different markets and categories,

(2) Analyze spend and performance analytics and

(3) Execute strategic sourcing activities for US market

The categories in scope are: Creative/digital, adaptation/execution and medical education.

The responsibilities of this role includes following
  • Successfully lead global implementation of a Marketing Procurement software
  • Lead analytics efforts for marketing budget owners to make more data informed decisions on cost, quality and performance from advertising agencies
  • Engaging Human Health business partners to understand business requirements, execute sourcing projects following our company's Procurement sourcing excellence process.
  • Support SSC (supply strategy council team) to build global agency management framework.


1. Sourcing Strategy execution & Supplier management
  • Develop, rollout, manage, and successful execution of RFIs/RFPs pursuant to supplier selection aligned with strategic goals; process re-engineering in cooperation with the business pursuant to modify or create processes in connection with strategic goals; dialogue and meetings with Global Sourcing Council (GSC) matrix organization in connection with execution of strategic goals; others that are directly linked with execution of strategic goals.
  • Implementation of tactical planning, contract review, spend assessments, and business requirement needs that would be directly linked to a strategy created during Sourcing Management Process (SMP).
  • Develop and manage delivery of data-driven insights through interactive dashboards to senior leaders.
  • Design and develop reusable analytical models to blend, cleanse and transform transactional and non-transactional data in multiple formats from multiple sources to provide insights on existing solutions and to proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality and applicability to prescribe actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to build agencies deliverables-based rates cards from scratch and revamp existing rates cards
  • Communication plan with both Sourcing Category Council (SSC) and identified business partners on status and opportunities for ongoing action items to be completed.


2. Project management Officer (PMO)
  • Providing project management, advice, training and onboarding of new markets, agencies or Business units and tactical support of the new ongoing initiative extension in the US and worldwide. This position would require the ability to develop an understanding of different stakeholder's business goals in order to proper implement the new solution and successfully drive the change management required.
  • Creating and managing work plans that support the initiative implementation and roll-out and managing project risk.
  • Proposing solutions, ideas or different thinking to overpass the project bottlenecks and influence different stakeholders' group to onboard smoothly on this innovative project. Have a problem-solving approach is key. As such it requires a highly motivated and outgoing individual that welcomes building new ways of working and being able to be a catalyst for change.
  • Implementation of reporting associated with performance of key strategic suppliers across the global landscape. Establish in conjunction with Global Category lead, supplier scorecards or reporting to monitor performance and meet business key metrics .
  • Play key role with communication of RFP specifications, key dates, material requirements, and follow up questions with all agencies participating in RFP or strategy conversations.


Critical to success relationships:
  • With Procurement: 1) Supports all global category leads in their spend analysis and overview in order to redefine the category sourcing strategy . 2) Participates in teams of global, regional & local representatives in the GSC matrix to implement strategic source plans as well as to ensure alignment on key initiatives and priorities for outlined creative services. Act as a member of the team willing to carry out the mission and ensure that input from all members is taken into account.
  • With Business Partners: Engages and partners with critical stakeholders to define and meet/exceed business requirements related to the strategy outlined.
  • With Agencies: Interact with Global, International, and Enterprise agencies in pursue of key agency performance metrics against business requirements; Act as a representative of the Corporation with a relentless drive to ensure our company is using Agencies' core competencies, provide a fair opportunity for sustainable growth, and optimize their spend.
  • Has an Innovative mindset to look at status quo and propose opportunities for further process improvement, cost impact, and future state efficiencies
  • Have the ability agile and adaptable to business needs.


Process, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Market Knowledge:
  • Proactive Cost and Cash Flow Management: Contributes to cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment and cash flow targets, and adds value to area of expenditure through a strong TCO orientation and process management.
  • Market Knowledge and Insight: Uses market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that inform the execution of Sourcing Strategies and continuous improvement activities.


Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree required;Marketing, Business or related field strongly preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree and/or relevant certification desirable but not a must.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • 5-7years' experience in strategic sourcing or related role.


Preferred Experience, Attributes, and Skills:
  • Strong analytical and rational thinking.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity required. Experience in international business desirable.
  • Previous Marketing/Advertising/Digital agency experience highly desirable.
  • High level of self-awareness and ability to think independently.
  • Collaborative nature - able to connect and get things done across the organization.
  • Strong communication skills needed and customer focused.
  • Knowledge of Procurement related business processes.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to think "out-of-the box".
  • Ability to make rapid disciplined decisions & prioritize work.
  • Demonstrates strengths in collaboration, written and verbal communications, and cross-functional teamwork.
