The Mobilization Department seeks a Digital Advertising Strategist to join the record-breaking DNC advertising program. You'll work within the fast-paced, highly collaborative Grassroots Fundraising Team to produce, build, and optimize ad campaigns on platforms like Meta, Google Search, and more in order to mobilize grassroots supporters to donate to help elect Democrats nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Develop ad campaigns from start to finish: Conceptualize new ad ideas or iterate on proven concepts, write engaging ad copy, build landing pages, and collaborate with the design and video teams to produce compelling graphics and videos that inspire donors to take action.
Become an expert on ad buying across multiple digital platforms: meticulously traffic and Q&A ads, analyze data in real-time, and make daily changes to ensure strong performance.
Use large swaths of performance data from the Analytics team to identify and share fundraising insights and iterate on successful ad content.
Write direct-to-camera scripts for a wide range of principal voices and audiences.
Move campaigns through complex approval processes.
Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Qualifications
Either have hands-on experience buying ads on Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager, or experience quickly learning a complicated digital platform and delivering results.
Have a knack for conceptualizing or designing eye-catching and well-composed graphics that move people to action.
Very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets to organize and analyze data to drive future strategy.
Detail, deadline, and process-oriented - you catch typos, grammatical errors, broken links, and extra zeros, and are capable of maintaining ambitious timelines and organized systems.
Ability to write persuasively, authentically, and concisely, and to tailor your writing to different messengers, audiences, and goals.
Communicate clearly and promptly when you have questions or face obstacles at work.
Remain open to feedback and learning, adaptable amidst ambiguity, positive, accountable, and believe no task is too big or small.
Natural collaborator who is excited and comfortable partnering within and across teams to execute complicated projects.
Must be in or be willing to relocate to D.C. and work in-person most days of the week.
Willing to work late evenings, weekends, and on a rapid response basis to capitalize on significant moments.
Preference is given for:
Familiarity with digital advertising and fundraising
Experience on a campaign, or at a political/advocacy organization or non-profit
